This casino has really done some improvements over the last couple of years. The staff offer great customer services and the food and beverage have stepped up their game. I always enjoy coming throughout the week since they always have interesting promotions going on. They have recently built a new bar and have live entertainment every weekend! This place is a lot of fun, I look forward to going back.

We have checked this place several times with our free play and then with a little cash, it's not  fun, it's not friendly, it's not a place to win enough change for a hot dog. In fact, those machines are bottomless pits....take take take ought to be the name of the place. It is totally dull and boring. I feel like a total loser each time I go there. I am tired of wasting my time and money fellas it's a wasteland as far as I am concerned. The old building was the only fun building they had and they dozed it down, may as well doze this one down it's worthless.

They save their jackpots for the people they know, are fond of and have even let the employees play late at night to get them so if you don't ever win, like me, that might be one of the reasons. The place stinks awful, the air very heavy with lead and smoke of dope so kill your test goodby when you have to go to the doctor to get your pain meds. They hired new servers lately that are a bit on the rude side, won't be bothering to go back until they can straighten up their act and let us win instead of their 'pets'. I have NEVER been called in a drawing and it didn't matter if I had 300 or 3000 tickets for the drawing, they pre select who they are going to allow to win from what I can tell. There are no random winners or persons winning from their tickets, at least, I NEVER have and that is totally wrong I have been there for many years and didn't even get a smoker grill. Now, can't even play regardless of how much I take to play on let alone win, forget it!

I just wanted to update this place since it was my first time there in years and now that they have modernized building a little; changed name to Blackhawk Casino, and are updating their offers. First, they DO have table games, including Blackjack ($5 and $25 tables) and others like mini-baccarat. I'm not really a slot player but my buddy is and when we go gamble; he plays slots; I play tables. There is a high limit slot room, fairly small, that is separated from main floor. Seemed to be a wide variety of games but not a huge casino. Promo for first time player's members is $20 free play. True free play; no match required. You enter your pin; it's downloaded to machine from your card and you play it through the machine. After running $20 through, whatever is left is yours.

Table games, though not many this past Friday night were busy at $5 tables; basically full but you could get a place if wanted. They had a $25 table that was a little different in that they are all shoe games, but they would not allow mid shoe entry on the $25 table. I asked pit bosses about that and they said it was an accommodation for the players who were playing. You could request it; anyone could request it and they would not allow mid-shoe entry on the $25 limit shoes. But $5 no problem and since I don't usually bet more than $100 at top bet, this was fine. But still thought it was different. Good games; good rules. 6 deck shoes but fairly liberal rules. DAS; double any two; resplit as many hands as you like. Only one card to split aces but think you can resplit aces. I saw someone go down in flames who had 6 hands pending on split 6's, he drew so many sixes.....LOL But they are friendly; didn't think they gave anyone too much trouble. Can't say that I think the general players are that experienced but we had a good time. Winning session for me.

Small concession service for fast food on once side of casino. A small sports bar/restaurant on other end. Serve decent food; variety on menu and it's a FULL SERVICE BAR. Liquor, beer, etc. Nice frosted glasses if you stay there to drink; typical video poker around bar area but CHECK pay tables; they vary and I didn't think they were that great. But if you want to bring your drink into the casino area, they transfer your drink into a styrofoam cup. We thought everyone we came into contact with was friendly. Not any where near as upscale or crowded as Grand Casino down the road on I-40 toward Oklahoma City, but it's a nice local casino.

First of all, they no longer have matchplay promotions. Which is really unfortunate as it takes away our main reason to go there as this casino isn't that much fun to visit. I can play slots anywhere and theirs aren't that special or up-to-date. As stated in another review, there are no video poker or table games. They even removed the video blackjack machine.

The food is minimal and the fact that their policy about taking drinks out of the casino is ridiculous, especially if you bought your drink in their cafe, makes visiting the property feel restricted. The way the staff was practically pouncing on people and making them throw away their drinks at the door before they could leave was really unfriendly. They don't serve liquor of any kind so it's just pop for pity's sake! It costs them next to nothing and after I've spent plenty playing their machines the least they could do is let me leave with my coffee. Geez, what a bunch of cheapskates.

No hotel, bar, or lounge area and with the cafe being so minimal it's not a destination stop. Even more so now that they took away the daily promotions.

Also, they took the doors off the non-smoking room so there's no longer a non-smoking area available.
