If you are looking for a taste of the Mediterranean but won’t be making it out of the U.S. anytime soon, look no further than Henderson, Nevada. Here, you will find the elegant, Mediterranean-themed Green Valley Ranch Resort, Spa and Casino.
Located just minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, the hotel at Green Valley Ranch has over 400 rooms and 45 suites, with some offering some great views of the Strip. Deluxe king rooms start at $125 and feature LCD Plasma TV, Bose Radio/CD Player with iPod adapter, laptop-sized safe, mini bar, iron and ironing board, full-length mirrors and work desk. The resort’s suites are priced from $225 and feature all the amenities from the deluxe rooms, as well as an executive desk with a high back chair, a private bar inside the armoire, a 27” color TV, a marbled bathroom and more. Please note, Green Valley Ranch also charges a nightly resort fee, which is not included in these rates.

Head on over to the property’s casino for an assortment of table games and slots as well as some great video poker games. The casino at Green Valley Ranch features over 130,000 square feet of gaming with 2,200 slot/video poker machines, more than 50 table games and a 220-seat state-of-the-art Race and Sports Book with 33 50-inch plasma TVs and individual monitors, plus a VIP seating section. Table games offered include blackjack, Pai Gow poker, craps, roulette, Let it Ride and mini baccarat. The casino also has a 22-table non-smoking poker salon where players can earn comp dollars which equate to $1 per hour and can be redeemed for cash, food and entertainment events.

Like many other locals casinos, Green Valley Ranch offers some great video poker. The casino has a few games such as Double Double Bonus Poker, Double Bonus Poker and full-pay Deuces Wild which all offer over 100% payback, as well as 9/6 Jacks or Better, NSU Deuces, 8/5 Bonus Poker, 9/7 Double Bonus and 9/6 Double Double Bonus.
If you are planning to spend some time in the casino, be sure to sign up for the casino’s players club to receive a BoardingPass card. The BoardingPass card can be used at all Station properties which includes Palace Station, Texas Station, Red Rock, Fiesta and many more! For most machines (100% payback video poker machines and a few others are excluded), $1 in = 1 point and 1,000 points = $1 cash back.

The resort also has six restaurants and a buffet. For fine dining, there is Hank’s Fine Steaks. Here, you will find steak and more with an extensive wine list in an elegant atmosphere. Italian specialties ares served at Bottiglia and Borracha offers great Mexican food. For something more casual, you can get something from the sea at Tides Seafood & Sushi Bar, American classics at the Grand Cafe or check out the Feast Buffet. The buffet offers various types of cuisine in one place. When showing your Boarding Pass card at the cashier, breakfast is $8.99 with a $16.99 brunch on Sundays, lunch is $10.99 and dinner is $15.99 during the week, $38.99 for seafood Fridays and $18.99 for prime rib/shrimp on Saturdays.

Lastly, if you are looking for some non-gaming activities, the property also has an on-site Regal Cinemas playing the latest releases on 10 screens, a 2,000-seat indoor Grand Events Center which features various acts, and several bars and lounges including The Pond which is located poolside (open seasonally).
